This means that the new Corsa will soon be offered with a 1.2 PureTech three-cylinder petrol engine with 75 or 100 hp. There will also be a fully electric version, which will be called nothing more than Corsa-e. The powertrain is the same as the electric Peugeot e-208, where a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor is powered by a 50 kWh battery.

Opel Corsa remains one of the company’s most popular models. Since the launch of the first generation in 1983, over 13.5 million units have been sold. It is one of the most important Opel models in Europe, competing with such popular cars as the Volkswagen Polo, Renault Clio and Ford Fiesta.
