New Peugeot 308 2020-2021 goes to Ukraine: price, equipment

When the second generation of the Peugeot 308 went on sale, and this was in 2014, the European public appreciated the changes in the popular model. Then the car received the title of car of the year in Europe. Six years is a long time, so it’s time to think about updating. The French, in this difficult time for the economy, did it. The new Peugeot 308 will appear in Ukraine at the end of 2020.

Emphasis on digits. Peugeot 308 2021 update!

Generational change, apparently, is not yet in sight. After selling more than 1.5 million copies of the Peugeot 308, the French decided to simply refresh the appearance and equipment of the model. The changes mainly concern decoration and equipment.

For example, Peugeot is introducing a new color Blue Vertigo (as pictured) and new alloy wheels. Inside, the dashboard features a fully digital i-Cockpit with a 10-inch high-definition screen and a central capacitive touchscreen. The infotainment system in the Peugeot 308 supports Mirrorlink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Every 308 is now equipped with DAB+ digital radio.

There will be only three complete trims, since the Peugeot 308 line was simplified. The range is based on three trim levels. The brand hopes to make the offer more understandable to the buyer. Each level of equipment can be supplemented by an intermediate level called a “pack”. This approach will also be applied to all future models of the brand.

Peugeot 308 is available with the following trim levels:

  • Active Pack: with 16″ ‘Quartz’ alloy wheels, fog lamps, power folding mirrors, rear park assist;
  • Allure Pack, Visiopark 1 180° reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and engine start;
  • GT: Full LED package with full LED headlights and LED turn signals, 17″ Rubis alloy wheels, Driver Sport Pack;
  • Blue Lease GT: with active blind spot monitoring and active parking, Alcantara, 18″ Diamond alloy wheels, Driver Sport Pack.

The new Blue Lease GT is also available with an optional Black Pack. In this variant, most of the trim parts, which are usually made of chrome, are presented in high-gloss black. Pay attention to the moldings around the windows, the roof rails, the grille, and Peugeot logos on the front, the area around the fog lights.

The 2021 Peugeot 308 engine lineup now looks like this:

  • 110 hp 3-cylinder 1.2 PureTech with 6-speed manual transmission.
  • 3-cylinder 1.2 PureTech with 130 horsepower with a manual 6-speed gearbox or automatic EAT8.
  • 4-cylinder diesel 1.5-liter BlueHDi with 130 hp with 6-speed manual or EAT8 automatic transmission.

The French promise to keep the GTI package with a petrol 1.6-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 263 horsepower and a torque of 240 N∙m. Apparently, only the 8-speed automatic EAT8 will be put on this motor.
